Hacking

This is a common topic that many people have been hacked before in different areas, such as, email account, facebook account, twitter account and another other private account. This type of computer crime has been harassed society many years, because there is always a security cap within the system that hacker can crack in.
In 2011, one of the famous hacking cases will be Sony play station credit information system has been hacked. From April 17 to April 19, Sony has shut down their PS3 network for all users, because hackers have unauthorized access to their system and grant users’ credit information, which 7.7 million users have been affected. In present, every system has held massive data of users’ information or details, for every user within the system; they all have potential risks to lose their information to outside. There is no prefect security system, but there still are many ways to prevent hacking attacks and defense these attacks. From user perspective, to prevent hacking attack that users can do following opinions:
1.   Change passwords regular basis
2.   Avoid real words as passwords
3.   Ensure voicemail PIN numbers are not 0000 or 1234
4.   Bar international calls where not needed
5.   Bar premium rate calls where not needed
6.   Aware unusual call activity
7.   Turn off dormant services
8.   Consider anti-hacking software
By using upon options, which will reduce chances been hacked for users.

From system perspective, it is difficult to stop hacking, because hackers can always find gaps to defeat security by different methods. One of the solutions for system that may stop hacking is called penetration test. For instance, Macquarie University website has been hacked last year, which directly cause students start to worry about the security of the Macquarie system. Macquarie has to invite third party involves which is system penetration team, the penetration team forms by good aspect hackers which to hack the system that help finding the gap of system, then can fix the gap and stop hacking attacks.
